Douglas's Story

BANGOR - Douglas MacArthur Look, born March 7, 1942 fought the battle of a lifetime and moved on this day: March 31, 2016, surrounded by those that loved him. He was born in Columbia Falls to Horace and Annie Look. He played basketball for Columbia Falls High School as well as Trombone for the high school band. He moved to Bangor where he spent most of his adult life as a Master Burner Technician for several heating companies. He enjoyed motorcycles, gardening, painting, camping, and spending time with his family. He spent the last eight years traveling the U.S. with the love if his life, his wife of 42 years Elouise. They saw many beautiful sites and made many friends. He is predeceased by his biological mother Laura Fieretto, his parents Horace and Annie Look and grandson Branden Look. He is survived by his wife Ellie of Bangor, his children: Kimm Reynolds and husband Jeff or Orrington, Brian Look and his partner Tracey Field of Hermon, Thomas McCoy and wife Marci of Middleville, MI, James McCoy and wife Annette of Hermon and Cary Look of Eddington, his sister Pauline Poling and her husband Carl of Thousand Palms, CA. His grandchildren: Misty Look of Brewer, Zackary and Kassidy Look of Converse, Tx, Joshua and Jaime McCoy of Middleville MI, Haley Reynolds of Orrington, Evan McCoy of Hermon and Natia Look of Dedham, one great grand child Madisen Look of Glenburn, one special Aunt Geraldine Look of Bangor, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

At his request there will be no service but donations can be made in his name to the M.S. Society of Greater New England 101A First Ave, Waltham, MA 02451 or The Bangor Humane Society 693 Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401. A private burial will be at the Maley Hill Cemetery Columbia, ME. A special thanks to all the staff at Stillwater Healthcare who took such wonderful care of Doug in his final days. Arrangements under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Director's, Bangor.
