- Dorothy Louise Dubovy, 94, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017, at the South Portland Nursing Home.
She was born on March 30, 1922, in Norway, Maine, the daughter of Philip and Ava (Andrews) Wight. She attended Norway schools and Westbrook Junior College.
Dorothy was a member of the South Portland Congregational Church, and the YWCA in Portland.
She enjoyed skiing, playing tennis, traveling, square dancing, ballroom dancing, gardening, and sewing.
She was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Ava Wight; husband, Richard Dubovy; brothers, Richard Wight and Philip Wight, Jr.
Dorothy is survived by her son, David Dubovy and his spouse, Sandra; daughter, Debra Denbow and her spouse, Michael; sister, Dawnalyn Winslow; grandchildren, Molly Dubovy, Emily Dubovy and her fiancé, Isaac Keyes; great grandchild, Juniper Keyes; nephew, Philip Winslow and his spouse, Bethany.
Our family would like to thank South Portland Nursing Home administration and staff for their loving and professional care of our mother.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Forest City Cemetery in South Portland.
