Donna's Story

EMBDEN - Donna Beane Williams, 59, passed away at her home on Tuesday evening in the loving care of her family and friends.

She was born on March 15, 1956 in Anson, Maine, the daughter of Donald Walter Beane and Eleanor Merrill Beane. She is survived by her loving husband, Dana Elmer Williams, her daughers, Jada Marie Williams and Kara Williams Atwood, her brothers Walter Scott Beane and Dana Lloyd Beane, and her two grandchildren, Mya Marie Atwood and Luca Jordan Williams.

Donna married Dana in 1974 and lived in North Anson, later moving to Embden in 1990 in the home they designed and built together. She worked at the post office for 30 years before retiring in 2009. She and Dana bought a general store in Bingham, Maine in 1997. She served on the School Board for 13 years, as well as the Board of Trustees at the Stewart Public Library for many years. She enjoyed traveling, warm weather, golfing and time at the lake with family. Her favorite pasttime was taking care of her treasured granddaughter each day. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by many.

Per Donna's request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 10:00 at Athearn Cemetery in Anson. Robert Hupper will be officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home, Madison. The family wishes to honor Donna's request to include only very close friends and family.
