Donna's Story

CHILIQUIN, OREGON AND OLD TOWN - Donna Gail Spencer, 76 died at Skylark Hospital, Klamoth, Oregon on April 12th, 2015 after a lengthy illness with her loving family by her side.

Donna was born on July 7, 1938 in Hudson, Maine. She was one of six daughters of Annie (Brasslett) and Joseph L. King. She attended Hudson Elementary School and Old Town High School, Class of 1956.

Donna married Stanley Spencer on November 17, 1962 at Newman Center, Orono, Maine. In October 1964 they moved to California, where they raised three sons and lived until their retirement in January 2003. After traveling several years in their RV home, they purchased a home in Chiliquin, Oregon in November 2007.

Donna was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She had a special love for her grandchildren. She was a great cook and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, which she shared with her family.

Donna leaves three sons and their wives. Jeffrey and Shannon Spencer, Ross and Linda Spencer, and Sean and Stella Spencer, all of California. Seven grandchildren, Cherise, Todd, Nolan, Peyton, Logan, Allie, and Jacob Spencer. She also has one living sister, Shirley Raymond of Old Town, Maine as well as many nieces and nephews. Donna had two special companions who will also miss her, her two special cats Willow and LT.

Donna leaves her husband Stanley of fifty-two years. She was predeceased by her parents and four of her sisters, Jeanette Robichaud, Florence Littlefield, Teresa Linscott, and Loraine Hachey.

A mass of Catholic Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, April 16th in Klamoth Falls, Oregon at St Pius X Parrish. Burial followed at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Klamoth.
