MILLINOCKET - MILLINOCKET - Donald E. McInnis, Sr., 87, of Millinocket went home to his Lord on September 20, 2015. He was born in Brewer on May 24, 1928, the son of J. Edward and Muriel E. (Baldwin) McInnis. After graduating from Stearns High School, he attended Husson College in Bangor for two years before spending four years in the U.S. Navy.
Don was a member of of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and served many years as Secretary of Millinocket Lodge of the Elks. He worked for over 40 years doing personal Income taxes each spring and delighted in helping people as part of the VITA tax program.
He took great pride in all his family and is survived by his three daughters Cathy McInnis and her children Michaela and Camden, Margaret McInnis, and Mary Ann (Mim) McInnis and her daughters, Christian and Megan; his "adopted" daughter Jane Richards; his son Donald McInnis, Jr.; his sister Joan and her husband Buz Cox; and his brother Richard and wife Alice McInnis. He also leaves behind a dear friend Jackie Boutaugh.
His greatest desire in life was that all his children graduate from college, which they all did.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours Church on Saturday, September 26 at 11 am, with a light luncheon following the service.
