- Donald Sargent "Hutch" Hutchinson, 78, arrived safely in the arms of Jesus, April 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Celebration and Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m., June 17, 2017, at the camp on the Western Rd. in Dover-Foxcroft. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.
Hutch was born July 8, 1938 in Milo, Maine, to Malcolm and Gertrude Hutchinson. He spent his younger years working on the farms and riding horses. He also worked in the logging industry with his father "Mac". After graduating from Foxcroft Academy in 1956 he joined the United States Army and served in Korea from 1956 - 1958. Hutch was an active member of the Piscataquis Valley fair association and served as president and director of the horse pulling. He also was a member of the Masonic lodge #52. He worked with the millwrights union for several years before becoming a project manager in the paper mill industry throughout the United States. Later Hutch relocated to Texas where he chased his passion raising beef cattle, riding horses and the cowboy life. He retired in 2000 to his ranch in Dennis Texas. In Texas he was a member of the Moslah Shrines of Fortworth,TX and enjoyed riding with the Moslah Mounties Horse Patrol Unit. He also was a dedicated member of the first Baptist Church of Dennis, Tx. Hutch was a devoted family man and friend. He is preceded in Death by his parents; Grandson Zachary Hutchinson; brother Fredrick Hutchinson; and wife Dianna Hutchinson. Survivors: Wife, Linda Hutchinson; children Micheal Hutchinson, and wife Karla, Penny Hutchinson Gourde and husband Rick, Brett Hutchinson and wife Kelly, Laurie Mayberry, John Elders and wife Cindy. Grandchildren: Kerri-jo Ramos, J.D. Harmon, Zane Harmon, Danielle Koninskey, Emily Hutchinson, Chase Hutchinson, Chris Hutchinson, Kilee Hutchinson, Brad Hutchinson, Gabe Hutchinson, Clarisse Hutchinson, Savvanah Mayberry, Sarah Elders,; and 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Dionne Hutchinson; Mother of his children Patricia "Teeter" Blanchard; and many extended family members.
