ORONO - Donald P. Davis, 85, died December 28, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 17, 1929 in Ellsworth a son of Milton A. and Helen (Chapman) Davis.
Don was a proud WWII veteran having served with the US Navy. Following the service, he returned to Clifton and was employed for many years at R. Leon Williams Lumber Company and he enjoyed farming on his land in Clifton. He was a life member of the VFW and member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time at Schoodic Lake. Don was an avid Patriots fan.
He is survived by four sons: Bobby Davis of Boston, MA, James Comeau his fiancé Penny Daudelin of Old Town; Donald A. Davis and his wife Tina of Durham, NC; Thomas Davis and his wife Charmaine of Crescent City, FL; 8 grandchildren Joey Davis, Robert Davis, Wesley Comeau, Ashley Comeau, Jamie Comeau, Austin Davis, Tammy Harlow and her husband Dana, and Candy Madore; 13 great grandchildren including two special great grandchildren Lynnette Saunders and Twila Betts. He was predeceased by his companion of 18 years Ethelyn "Bunny" Woodard on December 16, 2014; daughter Agnes Belanger, great granddaughter Cindy Comeau and great grandson James Belanger; two brothers Ervin and Jimmy Davis and a sister Mary.
