Diana's Story

BANGOR - Diana Lyn Hamm, 49, passed Sept. 2, 2014. She was born Oct. 16, 1964 in Millinocket, to Richard "Dickie" and Theresa (Saucier) Hamm. Diana graduated from Schenck High School, 1983 and shortly thereafter joined the Army Reserves. In May 1988 she received her nursing degree from Husson University where she also became a member of Epsilon Tau Epsilon sorority. Diana loved all animals, was an avid reader, enjoyed singing, and was a movie buff: "The Sound of Music" was one of her favorites. She was a kind, gentle soul with a contagious smile and laugh. In addition to her parents, Diana was predeceased by a nephew Chad Hussey. She is survived by her children, Alex Hamm and Taylor Hamm both of Bangor, one sister Deborah (Hamm) Hussey and husband Kim of Milo, one brother Richard Hamm of Portland, two nephews, Luke Hussey of Glenburn and Nathaniel Hussey of Thomaston, one niece Jennifer (Hussey) Nadeau and husband Ryan of Standish, a grandniece Ciara Hussey, a grandnephew Blake Hussey, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Diana will also be remembered by her best friend, Vikki Toothaker. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 58 Cedar St, East Millinocket. Spring internment will be at East Millinocket Cemetery.
