Delores's Story

BANGOR - Delores "Dee" Hathorn, 68, died peacefully after a long illness with her loving family by her side on June 19, 2016. She was born on April 12, 1948 to the late Franklin T. LeClair and Miriam (Weymouth) LeClair of Orono. Delores was a longtime bartender in Bangor and made many friends along the way. Her favorite past-times were playing cribbage and bingo and of course just hanging out with family and friends.

Delores is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Dale LeClair, Donald (Bungo) LeClair, Dorothy Ferdette, and Dorinda Young. She will be dearly missed by her Brother and five sisters, David LeClair, Diane Sands, Donna Talbot, Darlene Gilman, Daryel LeClair and Debbie LeClair. Delores is survived by her husband of 50 years Sheldon L. Hathorn of Bangor and three children, Sheldon L. Hathorn Jr. of FL, Adam N. Hathorn of MA and Cindy Marsters and her husband Joel of Brewer, her two (adopted) children, Charlie Hosmer of Bangor and Marcia Hosmer Long of Eddington, her very special niece Michelle (Missy) LeClair of Carmel who was also her caregiver until her death. We couldn't have done this without her. She is our family's Angel. Delores adored all of her grandchildren, Scott N. Gallant and his wife Kelly of Fort Carson CO, Christopher L. Hathorn and his fiancé Sara Anthony of Bangor, Bradley J. Gallant and his other half Emily Linehan of Brewer, Stephanie A. Hathorn of Bangor, Erica A. Marsters of Old Town and Devin N. Hathorn of Bangor; five great grandchildren, Nathan, Taylor (Tot), Addison, Sophia and Xander; and of course her favorite nephew, Thomas Talbot of Witham MA. She will be very sadly missed by her longtime forever friends Gloria Thomas, Denise McGrath, Brenda Cooney, Gene and Sharon Stinson, Linda Blackwell, Daddy Del, Larry Stinson and Barry and Julie Nowell.

There will be gathering on Sunday June 26 at her daughter's (Cindy Marsters) residence at 11 Kings Court, Brewer Maine beginning at 12 noon. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made at the above address to help pay for her final expenses and the rest will be split between her favorite charities.
