- Delma was born in Howland, ME, to Vernon and Ruth Lugdon on Oct. 23rd, 1926. She graduated from Old Town, ME, High School in 1945.
She was a nurse and later a hair stylist. She owned the Beauty Corral in Old Town from 1977-1982. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She was an avid crafter and seamstress, she enjoyed, card games, and spending time with family. Delma was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Ruth, her husband Robert Smith; and her brother Vernon Lugdon.
Delma is survived by her sister Melissa Cummings of Alton, ME; daughter Sherry Matley of Venice, FL, three grandchildren; Lisa Benjamin, Mark Matley, and Susan Matley; and three great grandchildren, Cynthia Gill, Jeremy Matley and Robert Matley.
