ALLEN TEXAS - Delese Beckwith Holmes, 63, beloved wife of Thomas Holmes, passed peacefully at her home in Allen, Texas, into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, and went home to the Lord on April 8, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 30, 1950, in Belfast, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Eva Beckwith.
After a career as a case worker for Penobscot Consortium CETA program in Bangor, Maine, she became an accomplished media sales executive in radio, yellow pages and the newspaper business. In Texas, she owned and operated a woman's clothing boutique, All that Jazz, named after her Maltese dog, Jazzy.
Delese's greatest gift was her innate ability to make and keep life-long friends. She touched many peoples' lives with her sense of humor, warmth and generosity. Always willing to listen, offer guidance and lend a helping hand, she will be remembered by her family and friends forever.
She had an amazing talent for sewing and crafting and made many beautiful, unusual artistic creations some of which lucky friends and relatives received and enjoy.
Besides the love of her life, husband, Tom, Delese is survived by her precious dog, Jazzy; a sister, Dacia Stoll of Ft. Pierce, FL; a brother, Drayton Beckwith and wife, Toni, of Cape Coral, FL; beloved nieces and nephews, Lenore Van Benschoten, Liana Dewberry Shultz, Henry Lawler Jr., Devin Beckwith and Weston Beckwith; four great-nieces, four great-nephews; stepson, Jeff Holmes and wife, Kerry; stepdaughter, Kristi Neal and husband, Jeff; stepgrandchildren, Kacey, Lauren, Ashley, Cheyenne, Jacob and Jamie; and many special friends.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
