HOLDEN - Debra Jean (Gray) Sprague, 55, died April 18, 2014 at a Bangor hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born May 19, 1958 in Bar Harbor, daughter of Roger C. and Joyce E. (Wheeler) Gray.
Debbie was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1976 and was a licensed CNA, formerly employed at the Brewer Convalescent Center. She loved to crochet and was an avid reader.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas B. Sprague of Holden; two sisters, Judith Campbell and her husband, Walter of Milford and Jody L. Gray of Holden; one brother, Roger C. Gray Jr. of North Carolina; one niece, Nicole Gray of Alabama; two special aunts, Jean Belanger and her husband, Richard of Veazie and Judith Hardman of Alna; special uncle, Virgil Gray and his wife, Lorraine of Ellsworth and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
A private burial will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Those who wish to remember Debbie in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Holden Firefighter Dept., 570 Main Road, Holden, ME 04429. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
