Debra's Story

Plymouth - Debra A. (Hopkins) Pratt, 62, died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at her Plymouth home following a short illness. She was born in Dexter, May 27, 1954 the daughter of Charles Vernon and Eleanor F. (Austin) Hopkins. She was a graduate of Nokomis Regional High School in Newport.
Debra was a C.N.A. working at the nursing home in Pittsfield and also at the boarding home in Pittsfield. For several years she was employed at the store at Valor's in Newport. She married David M. Pratt on Sept 27, 1997.
Debra enjoyed making crafts of all kinds. She also loved playing cards with her family.
She is survived by her mother Eleanor Hopkins of Plymouth, her husband David M. Pratt of Plymouth, one son Dale W. Orcutt and his wife Jada of Plymouth, two brothers, Charles L. Hopkins of Montana, Derwood A. Hopkins and his wife Susie of Dixmont, two sisters and their husbands, Carlene and Richard Lawler of Dixmont, Cheryl and Ronald Bennett of Plymouth, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons, Heath Orcutt, and an infant son, her father Vernon.
She will also be missed by her pets, Dakota and Cloie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth with Pastor Robert Emrich officiating. Burial will follow at the Sawyer Cemetery Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Dixmont Fire Department Dixmont, Maine
