Gray and Houlton
- Deborah (Roach) Winship, 42, died February 2, 2017, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House surrounded by family. She was born October 17, 1974, in Houlton the daughter of William and Bernette (Plourde) Roach.
Debbie graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington with a Bachelors degree in psychology and was a licensed social worker specializing in working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She was most recently employed by Affinity as a Children's Services Program Coordinator and prior to that at Community Counseling Center. Debbie's greatest joy in life was her son Zachary. Debbie's presence, personality and infectious laugh will be remembered by all.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Winship; one child, Zachary; father, William "Bill" Roach of Houlton; father-in-law, Thomas and his wife, Sandra of Old Orchard Beach; brother, David Roach of Wiscasset; brother-in-law, Matthew and his wife, Heather of Suffield, CT. She was predeceased by her mother, Bernette Roach.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church, Houlton, with Father Dave Raymond celebrant. A Celebration of Debbie's life will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, February 10th, 2017, at the Pineland Farms Commons Building, 59 Pineland Drive, New Gloucester. In honor of Debbie, please wear bright cheerful colors. Children are welcome and light refreshments will be served.
