Deborah's Story

GLENBURN AND EDDINGTON - Deborah M. Picard, 50, affectionately known as "Debbie Doo," joined her family in heaven, Friday, July 9, 2015 while being cared for at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born in Bethesda, MD on August 7,1964. She is the daughter of the late Joseph E.E. Picard and the late Anita T. (Thibeault) Picard.

Shortly after the passing of our mother, Debbie Doo was placed in the care of Marla Butch and Irene with Commonsense Housing of Eddington. Debbie Doo attended the Bouchea Center of Learning in Bangor. While attending the center she became more independent with her walking and daily self-care activities. She soared with the loving support of so many people and we want all of you to know how much we appreciate everything you've done for her. We'd also like to thank all of her doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She is survived by her siblings, Cheryl Picard of Milford, Stephanie McKenzie and her husband Peter, Michael Picard and his wife Teresa, all of Birch Harbor, Jerome Picard of Winter Harbor, Karen Kirchman of Ellsworth, Jeffrey Picard of Milford, CT, Rachel Bluing and her husband Henry of Escondido, CA and Joseph Picard II and his wife Erna of Harvest, AL. She is also survived by an aunt, uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her sister Marie T. Picard of Birch Harbor, and her Memere & Pepere Picard of Old Town.

At the families request, no services will be planned. The family will have a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Bouchea Center of Learning, 96 Thirteenth Street, Bangor, ME 04401 in her memory.
