Deborah's Story

HARTLAND - Deborah D. Irish, 61, died December 9, 2015, in Hartland, with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 15, 1954, in Dexter, a daughter of Malcolm and Joyce (Higgins) Brown.

She enjoyed flower gardens, camping and playing horseshoes. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and will be remembered as being patriotic. Debbie had been employed at Eastland Woolen Mill for 18 years until it closed and later worked for various area mills.

She is survived by her mother, and her husband, Kenneth Irish, both of Hartland; 2 sons, and their wives, Mark and Martha Lane of Newport and Dan and Aimee Sinclair of Greene; a step daughter, Rebecca Irish of Newport; brother, David Brown of Corinna; sister, Karen and husband, Paul Moulton of Corinna; 8 grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Louise Irish of Dexter; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; 2 sisters, Shirley McKay and Marsha Brown, and her special dog, Raggs.

Spring graveside services will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
