INDIAN ISLAND - Deanna R. Pehrson, 66, passed away May 17, 2015 in Bangor. She was born August 7, 1948, in Old Town, the daughter of Wilfred Robert Pehrson Sr. and Joann Lollar.
Deanna was a very accomplished woman over the years. She worked for Penobscot Nation as a Trust fund coordinator; she then took on the task of becoming one of Bangor's best real estate brokers, receiving many awards over her years of service. Once she got out of the real estate business she then became owner and operator of D&D Timber Harvesting where she continued her success. Deanna also served on various tribal committees and she was an avid volunteer within the Indian Island community.
When Deanna wasn't enjoying her grandchildren and family, she had several different past times that she enjoyed; she was an avid poker player, she loved to travel, play bingo, and she enjoyed going camping.
Deanna is survived by her children; Delia Pehrson of Old Town, Melissa (Goodale) LeBretton of Indian Island, Philomene LeBretton of Sipayik, Sogum Francis of Sipayik; grandchildren, Alisha Wood, Brianna LeBretton, Devon Goodale, Tia LeBretton, Sydney Goodale, Matthew York, Meaghan Pehrson, Elizabeth Stagg; great-grandchildren, Silas Collette and Anthony Cogswell; brothers Dennis Pehrson and Wilfred "Junior" Pehrson Jr.; sisters Kathy Brown, Vicki White, and Nancy Denner. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son Tony LeBretton.
Time of visitation will begin 1pm Tuesday until time of Mass at 1pm Friday at St. Ann's Catholic Church Indian Island. A private burial will take place at a later date.
