HAMPDEN - David Russell Moulton, 78, died May 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1937 in Portsmouth, NH, a son of Elroy and June (Williams) Moulton, Jr.
David served in the U. S. Air Force and was employed as an engineering technician at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Kittery. He was also a longtime general contractor in southern Maine. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and baseball. When he was stationed in Japan he played baseball with a local team, loved the Red Sox, and coached his daughter's little league team in the 70's.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Arthurs) Moulton; 2 sons, David "Mick" Moulton of Hampden and Daniel Moulton of Eliot; 1 daughter, Julie and husband Mark Geller of Portsmouth, NH; 1 brother, Elroy Moulton III and wife Connie of Newry; 1 sister, Elaine Alley of Kittery; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by 3 daughters, Cindy Moulton Donovan, Paula and Leigh Moulton.
Interment will be in the First Christian Cemetery, Kittery.
