MELBOURNE, Fla. - Dave Harmon passed away on May 7, 2016, at Holmes Heart Center in Melbourne, FL. He was with his wife and daughter at the time of his passing and was 67 years old.
David Frank Harmon was born in Bridgeton, Maine, and graduated from Fryeburg Academy before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Dave served in Vietnam as a Helicopter Crew Chief. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Dave lived for 18 years in Sweden, ME, and relocated to Bradford, ME, in 1988. He worked for GE in Bangor until his retirement in 2009.
Dave is survived by: his wife of 48 years, Maxine (Stuart) Harmon; his daughter, Jill Harmon; his sister, Elizabeth (Harmon) Noble; his brother, Milton Harmon; his brother and sisters-in-law, Joanne, Frederick and Nancy; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for a remembrance of his life at the Bradford (Maine) Town Hall on May 28 at 2 p.m. We invite all who knew Dave and would like to express their condolences to attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local Humane Society.
