David's Story

FRANKFORT - David L. Dakin, 51, died unexpectedly, Friday, September 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born the son of Lee and Rose (Clark) Dakin on June 30, 1963.

David was employed at Sprague's in Searsport for about 30 years. First and foremost he was a loving devoted husband and father. David had a loving, kind and happy spirit, with an infectious sense of quiet humor. He enjoyed fast cars, Nascar racing, truck pulls, the Springfield Fair, and camp at East Grand Lake, animals were his friends especially his beloved dog.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kelly M (Tripp) Dakin, his beloved daughter, Kateland Dakin, one brother, Alan Dakin and one sister, Sheila Dakin. He was predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
