DEDHAM - David R. Black 77, passed away on January 31, 2015. at his home. He was born on September 11, 1937. in Dedham, ME.
David was a husband, father, grandfather and a great friend to many. David spent most of his life as a long-haul truck driver and diesel mechanic. He had a strong will and an amazing sense of humor. Most of all he was a selfless care giver who always put others first.
David is survived by his loving life partner of 37 years, Carol Ann Black; his brother, Leonard Black and wife, Barbara; his son, William Black; his stepchildren, Gregory Panther, Deborah Canney, Sheila Gilley and her husband, Earl Gilley, Sherry Panther, Karl (John) Panther, Martin Panther and Dina Van Hall; 28 beloved grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, niece and nephews.
David is being reunited in Heaven with his 3 young sons, his parents, his 2 brothers and his sister.
A celebration of David's life will be held at Holden Square Apartments, 41 Upper Dedham Rd, on February 8, 2015, at 2 P.M. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
