Darrell's Story

LUCERNE - Darrell Leverett Brewer, 76, passed away at Eastern Maine Medical Center on Friday, April 8, 2016. He was born in Bangor on December 18, 1939, son of Nelson and Rose Brewer of Milo.

He is survived by his beloved wife of two years, Marie; son, Stephen Brewer and wife, Rebecca, of Virginia; daughters, Angela Rockwell and husband, Russell, and Jennifer Brewer, both of Sebec; sister, Andrea Wood and husband, Robert, of Bangor; brothers, David Brewer and wife, Marsha, of Corinna and Dwight Brewer and wife, Debby, of Brunswick; four granddaughters, Brittany Perkins and husband, Joe, Alyssa Stewart and husband, James, Kylie Brewer and Sarah Brewer; as well as several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He will be greatly missed by all. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Betty L. Brewer.

Darrell loved his family and friends very much and enjoyed spending valuable time with them. He had a very caring personality and was loved by all who knew him. He truly enjoyed his volunteer ministry teaching about the Bible. Darrell's sense of kindness never went unnoticed, and he looked for ways to appreciate everyone.

The family and friends would like to thank the hard working nurses and doctors at EMMC and ICU for their caring efforts.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 472 West Main St., Milo, on Sunday, April 17, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow, as announced.
