Dana's Story

BREWER - Dana C. Pollard, 64, passed away peacefully Dec. 6, 2014 at his home in Brewer after a brief illness with his wife, Mary Ellen (Gutherie) Pollard and Hospice of Eastern Maine caring for him. He was born in Bangor, Nov. 30, 1950 the son of Edward and Antoinette (Grover) Pollard.

Dana graduated from Old Town High School in 1969. In addition to his wife of Brewer, he is survived by his son, Ben Pollard of Orrington; his sister, Annette Plaisted and her husband, Don of Gonic, NH; a niece, Lynette Plaisted Holmes and her family of New Hampshire; a nephew, Scott Nason of Orono and a half sister, Chris Jarvis of California. He will be remembered and missed by friends, Mike LaVertu, Richard Babb, Phil Tardiff, Geoff Miller, Miles Jamieson and many other friends in Bangor, Brewer and Orrington.

At Dana's request, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date in the spring at full moon and high tide. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Brewer.
