Cynthia's Story

BANGOR - Cynthia "Cindy" Fisk, 75, passed away peacefully, November 14, 2014, reuniting with her son Bill and her parents Fred and Charlotte (Quimby) Stuart. She was born April 15, 1939 in Bar Harbor, where she attended area schools, graduating from Haverhill High School in Massachusetts. Cindy continued her education, graduating as an RN from the Lynn School of Nursing. She lived, and was licensed in several states, until relocating in Bangor where she worked in various hospitals, retiring from Acadia Hospital, after several years of dedication.

She enjoyed knitting, was a talented gardener, and an amazing cook, known for her bread. Cindy, always willing to help those in need, donated much of her money, time and skills to several agencies. She enjoyed life and went on many adventures making friends along the way. In her retirement she became a "Nestie", enthralled watching eagles and making friends.

Cindy will be greatly missed by her children, Geoff, Chris and his wife Kelly, Amy, Matthew and his wife Sarah, and Jonathan and his wife Sherri; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several cousins, and special friends Linda and Wayne.

A memorial reception to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Saturday November 29, 2014 at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor. Gifts in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
