Corinne's Story

WEST OLD TOWN - Corinne Ella Caswell, 86, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family January 1, 2015. She was born in Milford, August 26, 1928, the daughter of Nelson and Philomene (Trembley) LaBree.

She enjoyed summers at her camp on Pushaw Lake. She worked for many years, retiring at the age of 62. In retirement, Corinne and Simon enjoyed traveling and their winter home in Florida. She enjoyed her many hobbies, Bingo, playing cards, cooking, puzzles, knitting, gardening, and going strawberry and apple picking.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Simon Caswell; children Carol Qualey and her husband Walter of Corinth, Gary Caswell of Havelock, NC, Bruce Caswell and his wife Carleen of West Old Town, and Susan Caswell of West Old Town; four grandchildren Kirk, Rebecca, Jodi, and Michelle; seven great grandchildren; brother Robert LaBree; two sisters Marie O'Keefe and Theresa Pollard; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Ronald Caswell, two brothers Francis and Walter LaBree; two sisters Rose Walinchus and Margaret Salisbury.

The family wishes to thank all those involved with her care during her courageous battle with cancer. Per her request there will be no formal funeral services but rather a Celebration of her Life will be held at her home in West Old Town, Kirkland Road, on Sunday January 11, 2015 from 1-4pm. A graveside service at West Old Town Cemetery will be announced in the spring.
