Corinth - Corice Ellen Amazeen, 89, the wife of Everett Vernon Amazeen, died Jan. 27, 2017, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Otis, the daughter of Horace Carlton and Florence M. (Willey) Salisbury.
She graduated from Old Town High School and was a longtime member of the Garland Grange. Corice enjoyed gardening, watching birds and family get-togethers.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 55 years, are a son, Leslie; and two daughters, Carolyn Amazeen and Gloria Fox and her companion, Michael Brown; 5 grandchildren, Deanna Elkins, Jaime Marchon and husband, Matt, Kayce Amazeen, SSGT. Jason Fox and wife, Chrissy, and Joshua Amazeen and his friend, Jess Bornstein; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Salisbury and wife, Vivian, and Leverett Salisbury and wife, Alice; two sisters, Vera Judware and Alice Herrick and her husband, Eddie; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Terry McIntoch and family. Corice was predeceased by a sister, Arleeta Kidder; and a brother, Emery Salisbury.
Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Scott Connors officiating. Spring burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Garland.
