- Clinton Rioux, 70, died peacefully November 12, 2016, at a Fort Kent health care facility surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Fort Kent on June 26, 1946, son of Romeo and Regina (Michaud) Rioux.
He worked at Daigle Oil Company for thirty one years. He was a retired national guardsman, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the American Legion.
Clinton is survived by his wife, Vernette (Boutot) Rioux of Fort Kent; one brother, Maurice Rioux and his wife, Helen; two sisters, Priscilla Dumond and her husband, Leonard, and Diane Collins and her husband, Leo; brother-in-law, Neil Paradis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Yvette and Josephat Madore, and Clarence and Mary Boutot; many nieces and nephews; his loving cat, Bebe. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Lewellyn Rioux; and one sister, Louella Paradis.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. Family and friends may call at Daigle Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15, from 6-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday before the service. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery after the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
