ALLAGASH - Clifford Cedric Pelletier died 22 January 2016 at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent, Maine. He was born 26 September 1940 in Allagash, son of Clifford Joseph Pelletier (10 April 1913 - 17 November 1978) and Mary Hilda (Jackson) Pelletier (20 May 1915 - 31 July 1962).
After working as a woodsman for a number of years, Cedric started his own company, in conjunction with his son Todd, in Allagash where he continued in woods operations and expanded into excavating.
Cedric, a woods worker and sportsman, who loved to hunt and fish and take long rides in the wilderness, was descendant of the early settlers of Allagash and an integral part of this close-knit community.
Cedric was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Rita Iona (Pelletier) Tracy (19 February 1936 - 10 June 1991), Nizaire Vaughn Pelletier (18 November 1941 - 18 September 1994) and Wesley Jess Pelletier (4 June 1953 - 12 June 1997). In addition to his wife, Judith "Judy" (Jackson) Pelletier of Allagash, Cedric is survived by his son, Cedric Todd Pelletier and his wife, April (Thibodeau) Pelletier of Sinclair; his granddaughter, Kelsey Pelletier of Frenchville; his grandchildren, Justin "JR" Robtoy of St. Agatha, Lindsey Robtoy of Bangor and Sierria Daigle of Alaska; his siblings, Elizabeth Anita (Pelletier) Graham of Houlton, Theresa Marie (Pelletier) Ouellette Barstow and husband Brian Barstow of California, Joseph Ronnie Pelletier of Allagash, Lonna (Pelletier) McBreairty of Allagash, Mary Louise (Pelletier) Kelley and husband Earl Kelley of Allagash, Stanley James Pelletier and wife Elmira (Thibodeau) Pelletier of St. Francis, Anna Irene (Pelletier) Jandreau and husband Docite G. Jandreau of St. John, Verley Gail (Pelletier) Hafford of Danforth, Brent Dean Pelletier of St. Francis; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A burial with a graveside service will be conducted in the spring at the Allagash Baptist Church Cemetery in Allagash. An announcement will be published at a later date in regard to the specifics of the service.
