FORT KENT - Clarence "Cout" Dubois Sr., 84, died peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. He was born on September 28, 1930 in Fort Kent, the son of Leo and Marie (Lafarrie) Dubois.
Clarence married and was predeceased by the love of his life, Stella. Together they lived in Conn. from 1957 to 1978 and had nine children. He worked for Lanchester, Lumber before moving back to Fort Kent, Me. then working for Pinkham Lumber and later for several years on a farm for John Roy. He stayed active in the community and was a member of the Fort Kent Knights of Columbus Council # 1934.
He is survived by his children; David Dubois of Fort Kent; Linda and husband Gary Scott of Monmouth, Norma and husband John Youhess of Ct., Barbara and husband David Hannon of Ct., Clarence Dubois Jr. of Ct. and Tim Dubois and Jennifer of Fort Kent. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters; Raymond Dubois, Lewis and wife Louise Dubois, Pat and wife Gladys Dubois, Morris and wife Joanne Dubois, Bedette and husband Roland Voisine, Annette Raymond, Clara "Bedue" Ouellette. Clarence will be dearly missed by his children.
In addition to his wife in 2015, Clarence was predeceased by daughters; Dora and Diane, his son Steven, and granddaughter, Sarah. Brothers, Silvio and Lenny Dubois.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 am. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 am Wednesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery.
