Clarence's Story

PROSPECT - Clarence G Drew Sr 79, of Prospect, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at EMMC on January 19, 2015. He was born November 7, 1935 in Frankfort son of the late Chester L and Mildred (Nelson) Drew. He graduated from Winterport High School class of 1955. He served in the U S Navy from 1955 to 1963 during the Vietnam War. Clarence was very proud of his military service. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his yard and chasing the leaves in the fall. He looked forward to going to breakfast on Saturdays with his daughter and anyone who wanted to join them. He will be remembered by the mischievous twinkle in his eye. He was a long time member Jerry Dobbins American Legion Post 157, Prospect Fire Dept. and a member of the Franklin Vets Club. He attended services at the Stockton Springs Community Church and served on MSAD NO18 School Board. He worked for Delta Chemicals in Searsport and retired from GAC after 40 years of service. He worked for Blue Hill Pyrotechnics and The Bangor Mall. He is survived by his loving wife Florence, his 3 children, Clarence Jr, wife Holly of Herman, Theresa, partner Francis Larrabee of Prospect, Thomas, partner Jessica Sisco of Winterport, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and 5 stepchildren, several nieces and nephews, and 2 sister-in laws. He is predeceased by his parents, and 5 siblings. At his request there will be no funeral services. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of his life at the Prospect Community Center on January 31, 2015 from 1-3PM. Graveside service will be in the spring.
