Pittsfield - Cheryl Ann Ouellette, 67, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at her home in Pittsfield.
She was born on August 25, 1949, in Dexter, Maine, the daughter of the late Alfred and Patricia (Clukey) Reed. She married Merlon Ouellette and together they shared 49 years of marriage.
Cheryl was dedicated to her family. They had a close bond and loved their times together. She was a strong, positive lady and maintained her smiling disposition throughout her challenges with multiple sclerosis. She was an avid gardener and was famous for her yeast rolls. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a faithful volunteer with the Knights of Columbus. She was a proud member of the MS Walk Team, "Together We're Stronger Than MS." She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Merlon Ouellette of Pittsfield; children, Lauralee Curtis and husband, Charles, of Scarborough, Peter Ouellette of Pittsfield and Lynn Marquis of Kennebunk; grandchildren, Ryan Curtis and wife, Carmella, Ethan Curtis, Caleb Ouellette, Joshua Marquis, Lucas Marquis and Hannah Marquis; great grandson, Nicholas Curtis; and brother, Allen Reed and wife, Susie, of Corinna.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2016, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 7, at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, 238 Detroit Street, Pittsfield, with Fr. Mark Nolette officiating. A committal will immediately follow at the Village Cemetery, Peltoma Avenue, Pittsfield.
