Charlotte's Story

CORINNA & NEWPORT - Charlotte Ann Michaud, 84, died peacefully December 4, 2014 at a Bangor health care facility. Ann was born March 17, 1930 in Corinna, a daughter of William and Edith (King) Buckland. She graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1948. Ann married Richard A. Michaud on June 26th of that year at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. She worked at Snowflake Canning Company for 16 years where she had great times with many of her lifelong friends. She worked at Key Bank for 25 years and retired with many more wonderful friends she met during that time. She later worked for Eastern Agency on Aging in Dexter for 8 years with the "Meals for ME" program. She then stayed at home to care for her husband during their last years of life together. Ann was a communicant of St. Annes and St. Agnes. She was also a past president of the Sebasticook Garden Club.

Ann and Dick were wonderful, kind parents to their three children Judy, Peter and Jayne; and grand daughter Katie, who was the light of their life. "We will miss them both very much, but know that they have been reunited in heaven and are happy to be together once again."

Ann is survived by 3 children, Judy Cruickshank of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Peter Michaud of Newburgh, Jayne Field and husband John of Bangor; grandchild Katie Randall, as well as Rene Brochu and daughters Alison and Madeleine of Augusta; and Katie's dad, Frank Randall and Christine O'Neill of Newport; a brother William "Tebob" Buckland and Christine Kelley of Newport and Florida; and a very special sister in law Millie Buckland of Newport; many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.

Ann was predeceased by her husband Dick, brother John Buckland, son in law Frank Cruikshank and special cousin Robert Young.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. Thursday, December 11th, at St. Agnes Church, 50 Detroit Avenue, Pittsfield, with Father Joseph Cahill officiating. Spring interment will be in the Pittsfield Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
