Charlene's Story

ADDISON - Charlene M. Beal-Wagner, 96, of Addison, ME passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2015 after a sudden, unexpected illness. She was born on Beals Island, June 25, 1919 the daughter of William and Katie Faulkingham. She was one of twelve children.

Charlene thankfully had a chance to enjoy a long, and healthy life despite many hardships. She celebrated with a birthday in full health and spirit the day before her sudden illness, still drove and lived alone. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, picking berries and feeding her birds. She worked hard all of her life clamming, lobster fishing, picking wrinkles and owning her own business -Wohoa Bay Seafood- as she enjoyed everyone as she welcomed them into her home. She was known for her wonderful cooking, camping on Goose Island, and most especially her love for Jesus as a born again Christian which she displayed every moment with her warm and loving heart. She passed away while listening to her song "Mansion Over The Hill Top", welcoming her home to her mansion on streets of gold.

She was predeceased by two husbands, Roland H. "Tommy" Beal as well as a later marriage to Earl Wagner of Jonesport; 9 siblings; three children- Hurley Beal of Addison, Anita Trahan White of Addison, as well as her tiny baby girl, Loretta Marie Beal.

She is survived by three children; Roland A. "Bo" Beal and daughter-in-law, Penny of Jonesport, Laurie Beal of Augusta and Linda Alley of Bangor and son-in-law James; two siblings- Carrie Sabourin of Jonesport and Nonie Faulkingham of Jonesport. Charlene has many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great grandchildren who will miss her as well. Her life has touched many and she will be sorely missed but lives forever in our hearts and dreams.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 26th, 2015 in Jonesport, with Rev. George Woodward officiating at the Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Advent Christian Parish House on Elm Street in Beals. Arrangements are under the care of Bradgon-Kelley Funeral Home in Ellsworth, ME.
