PERRY AND ISLAND FALLS - Cedric J. Altvater (Philbrook), 21, died at his home, January 8, 2016. He was born May 12th, 1994 in Lincoln, the son of Adele King and Kirk Altvater.
Cedric loved being outdoors and spent his time doing seasonal work, such as wrinkling, clamming, and raking with his family and friends. He recently got a job as a fish technician, working with salmon in Machiasport, Maine. Cedric was a caring person with many friends and family. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, taking pictures of the beach, and being with friends and family. He was babied by his Aunties and was taught valuable life lessons by his Uncles. He enjoyed bragging about his sister, Sable, and brother, Nolan's, basketball skills and was known for giving big bear hugs, teasing, and sometimes complaining. He had profound love for all he held close.
Cedric is survived by his Mother; Adele King and companion, Eric Raymond; his Dad; Kirk Altvater; sister, Sable Altvater; brother, Nolan Altvater; Grandpa, Timothy King; Grandma, Janet Goodwin Eddy; Step-Grandpa, Carleton Eddy; Grammy, Janet Horne; his Aunt, Carly Eddy; Uncles: Jonathan King and Arthur Eddy, as well as many other Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his Grand Mother, Anne King.
A celebration of Cedric's life was held Monday, January 11th, 2016 at his Dad's home in Perry, ME. A funeral service will be held today at the Elderly Meal Site, at 11:00 am.
