Catherine's Story

BUCKSPORT - Catherine M. "Tina" Wentworth, 91, died Monday March 14, 2016 at a Bangor Hospital. She was born March 29, 1924 in Madison a daughter of Rex and Caroline (Tozier) Wescott.

She attended Bucksport schools. She was very active in organizing class reunions for her graduating class, keeping all of her fellow classmates informed. Tina enjoyed knitting mittens for her family and the mitten tree at the hospital, she loved eating out, completing the daily crossword puzzle, reading, playing BINGO and bowling in her younger years. She especially enjoyed the yearly trips to Cape Cod with her family, playing road side cribbage along the way.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Baker of Veazie and her children Colleen Hotchkiss and her husband Blake of Brewer and their son Owen, Kyle Baker and his wife Brie of Chelmsford, MA and their daughter Avery; daughter, Jane Tryder and her husband Chuck of Melrose, MA and their children, Conor and Megan Tryder; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Tina was predeceased by her husband, Bill Wentworth; two brothers, Earle Wescott and William Wescott; and one sister, Madeline Smith.

In keeping with Tina's wishes there will be a private graveside service at a later date. Donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Bangor, in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home Bucksport.
