MEDWAY - Carroll Wayne McLaughlin, 82, husband of the late Ann McLaughlin, died September 24, 2014, at his home. He was born February 15, 1932, in Medway, the son of Lawrence and Mazie (McCloud) McLaughlin.
Carroll was a graduate of Medway High School, class of 1949. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, boats and guns. He loved life and his family and his dog, Misty. He was a proud member of the Masons, was past master of Pine Tree Lodge #172, Mattawamkeag and a member of Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor.
He is survived by six children, Caroline Ambrose and her husband, Bronie, Steven Sherwood and his wife, Audrey, Kurt Sherwood and his wife, Lisa, Ansel McLaughlin and his significant other, Coleen Cuccinello, Wayne McLaughlin and his significant other, Rhonda Blanchard, Chris McLaughlin and his wife, Candace; four step-children, Stanley Graham and his wife, Donna, Brenda Markie, Linda Vose and Mark Graham; five siblings, Larry McLaughlin and his significant other, Jackie, Galen McLaughlin and his significant other, Leta, Lorna Severance and her husband, Mike, Glenda Hale and her husband, Danny, and Marnie Ward; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lawrence and Mazie McLaughlin, and his wife, Ann McLaughlin, he was predeceased by a sister, Janice Stewart; two sons, Carroll McLaughlin, Jr. and Karl McLaughlin; and a daughter, Robin Cobb.
Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Saturday, September 27, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, where a Masonic funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Grindstone Rd.
