AUGUSTA - Carole Ann (King) Kus, 69 passed from this earth on March 21, 2016, at a nursing home in Augusta, Maine. She was born in Bangor, the daughter of Frances (Moreau) King and Raymond King Of Old Town.
Carole enjoyed a happy childhood in Old Town and graduated from Old Town High School in 1965. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Lewiston in 1968 as a Registered Nurse. She married David Kus and settles in Wayne, ME where she raised her son Derrick. She worked as an R.N. for close to four decades; mostly in the employ of the State of Maine. She spent retirement years in her sweet little condo in Augusta where she enjoyed her furry friends, especially Sasha. She passed many an hour cooking, sewing intricate and beautiful clothes for dolls, most of which she donated to MaineGeneral Medical Center for the financial support of patients in need.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Brian. Surviving are her son, Derrick, of Deltona FL; an uncle, Gene Moreau and his wife Pat of Farmingdale; cousins, Rosemarie LeGasse of Bangor; Charles LeGasse of Old Town; Cheryl Moreau of Portland; and Stephen Moreau of Collierville Tennessee. She leaves nieces and nephews, and several dear friends who provided her with consistent support, enjoyment, and caring.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend an informal memorial gathering at 11 a.m. at the Birmingham Funeral Home at 438 Main St. in Old Town on Friday, March 25. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Old Town later this spring.
