Carole's Story

DELAND FL/WINSLOW ME - Carole Ellen Camic age 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 18, 2015 near her winter home in Florida. The daughter of Thomas and Estella MacDonald, Carole was born in Milo, Maine on May 18, 1936. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1955. She was a loving partner caring sister, a devoted mother of three, a doting grandmother of seven and great grandmother of three.

Carole loved solving crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She worked as a CNA for 20 years at Lakewood Manor Nursing Home in Waterville, Maine, where her kind, loving, and caring disposition undoubtedly touched the lives of all her patients and co-workers. She was a trusted, loving and loyal friend to anyone blessed to be in her life. She was selfless, and she would do anything for family and friends in need, without hesitation.

She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Estella MacDonald, her sisters Patricia and Gloria. She is survived by her Husband Reid Camic; brother Thomas and wife Shirley MacDonald Jr; her son David Camic and wife Linda; daughter Judy Marcoux and husband Joe; son James Camic and wife Tracey. Grandchildren: Chris and Lindsay Marcoux; Alicia Marcoux, Kellie and Blaine Ward, Nick Camic and Sarah Bunch, Jasmyn and Mike Feero, Jordyn Camic and Michael Moores. Great grandchildren: Caden, Copelyn, and Henley Feero.

There will be a service held on May 18th at 9 AM at Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery Chapel 163 Mt. Vernon Rd. Augusta, ME. Services are under the care and direction of Veilleux Funeral Home 8 Elm St. Waterville, ME.
