Carolann's Story

SPRINGFIELD - Carolann (Hyott) Vincent - 76, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Oct. 12, 2015. She was born Oct. 17, 1938, the daughter of Everett and Regina Hyott in Meriden, CT. She graduated from Meriden High School in 1956.

She worked for Miller Lighting Company in Meriden, CT and retired from Pratt & Whitney, No. Haven, CT after 34 years as a purchasing agent.

Carol belonged to The Womens' Intermediate Club, an organization known for extensive charity work. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society, as well as her special Friends of the Friday Night Game group.

Carol loved baking and decorating cakes. For over 35 years, she was well known for her elaborate, delicious wedding cakes.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Vincent, three sisters; Jane Boylan, Lillian Weber and Evelyn Klimczak and three nieces; Kathy,Sherry and Kathleen.

She is survived by her daughter Lynn Faulkner and her husband Ollie, of Springfield, ME, her son Kevin Parkinson and his wife Katrina, of Plantsville, CT, as well as four step-children; Robert,Patricia, John and Thomas and grandchildren Justin, Megan, Melissa, Caitlin, Kiah and Chris; great-grand children Michael, Matthew, Cayden, Gage, Emmalynn,Ashton, and Liam. She also was adored by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her special brother-in-law Edward Klimczak and her life-long best friend Ann Staskiewicz.

Carol made many dear friends in Maine through her family, as well as Davita Dialysis Center in Lincoln.

Her funeral and burial will be held Thursday, October 22nd at 11:00 am at the Rose Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, October, 21st from 5-7 pm.
