Carol's Story

CORINTH - Carol A. Adams, 72, wife of Joseph D. Adams, died June 26, 2015 at her home in Corinth with her family by her side. She was born in 1942 in China, ME, the daughter of George F. and Josephine (Grant) Shorey.

Carol was a 1961 graduate of Erskine Academy and 1962 graduate of Husson College. She worked many years in banking and finance in the Bangor area. Carol and Joe were married for more than 52 years and had have been longtime residents of Corinth. Together they have been operating their farm since 1970 where they grow several acres of strawberries. She was also a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, Bangor.

Surviving in addition to her beloved husband of Corinth are five children, Margaret Davis and her husband, Joe of Newport, Anne Marie Minahan of Bangor, Anne Ford and her husband, Bruce of Danville, IL, Bill Adams and his wife, Jamie of Kenduskeag and Cathy Abrams and her husband, Jim of Corinth; many grandchdilren and great grandchildren; one sister, Jane Hamilton and one brother, David Shorey and his wife, Dottie; nieces and nephews.
