Carlton (Carly) Eaton went home to heaven July 12, 2016. He was born in Deer Isle in 1946, the son of Horace and Elnora (Gove) Eaton.
Carly, a self-employed fisherman, enjoyed being on the water and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his lifelong friend and companion, Helen Austin; son, Timothy Austin and his partner, Leeann Libby; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Emerson, Jonathon Emerson and Elizabeth LIbby of Brooksville; his brothers, Henry Eaton and his wife, Karmell, of Sedgwick and Melvin Eaton of Deer Isle; and his sister, Theresa Gove-Eaton and her husband, Cory, of Deer Isle. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Wiley Eaton, Phillip Eaton, Edwin Eaton, Mary Eaton, Evelyn Eaton and Judy Mcintire; and nephew, Alfred Clough.
A celebration of Carly's life will be held noon Saturday, August 13, at the Reach Beach, Reach Road, Deer Isle.
