Deer Isle AND Brewer
- Byron S. Dorr, 68, died March 22, 2017, after a courageous battle with Dementia. He was born on July 31, 1948.
He had lived in Georgia for many years, where he worked as a private duty care provider. He was a devout member of the Mormon Church and spent much of his time working with the missionaries. He was a self taught pianist and could play along side the best. He was great!! He loved life and his family. He will be sadly missed.
Byron was predeceased by his mother, Faith R. Dorr/Day; stepfather, Arthur H. Day; and brother, Robert G. Dorr. He is survived by seven brothers and one sister, Victor Dorr and wife, Paula, of Holden, Wayne Dorr and wife, Louise, of Brewer, Arthur Dorr of Glenburn, Rodrick Day and wife, June, of Florida and Maine, Bonnie Day-Chase and husband, John, of Glenburn, Neil Day of Bangor and Eric Day and wife, Carrie, of Bangor; and many nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles.
There will be a late spring burial June 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. A get together will follow at his sister's home in Glenburn.
