Bruce Bolstridge, age 75, passed away Saturday evening, January 3, 2015 at home surrounded by loved ones due to congestive heart failure. Born in Portage, Maine, August 29, 1939, he was one of six children of the late Stanley and Mildred Bolstridge. He attended Ashland High School and was in the Army from 1956-1958.
He met his wife in Connecticut and married her there on August 6, 1966. He left Maine in 1971 to move to the big state of Texas and eventually worked for FMC as a machinist. He worked for them for 25 years before retiring at 59. After retiring, he spent his summers fishing in the brooks and driving through the woods of Maine and his winters in his home in Houston, Texas.
He donated his body to Science and would like donations to be made to the American Heart Disease in his honor in lieu of flowers. Cards may be sent to his wife at their Houston home address: 614 Glenvale Drive, Houston, TX 77060.
He is survived by devoted, loving wife, Christine, and their children, Steve and Debra, grandchildren, Shannon and Amanda McDonald, and siblings, Alice and Nelson.
