Brenda's Story

CARIBOU - Brenda J. Lewis, 68, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister was called home February 19, 2015, at Van Buren, following a long illness. She was born in Washburn December 2, 1946, the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Carter) Barker.

Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Lidstone Methodist Church in Washburn. She married Earl Lewis Jr. July 11, 1966.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Earl, of Caribou and her mother, Margaret, of Washburn, are her son, Guy Lewis of Caribou; her daughters, Sherri Lewis and Anne Hewitt and her husband, Travis, all of Caribou; one brother, Alex Barker of Washburn; two sisters, Felicia Rossignol of Washburn and Eva Barker of Old Town; three granddaughters, Susie Lewis and Lorriah and Brittany Hewitt; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2014, from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Troy Heald officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
