NEWPORT - Brant E. Munster, 35, died August 25, 2014 as the result of a workplace accident at the NewPage paper mill in Rumford. He was born March 7, 1979 in Waterville, a son of Martin and Connie (Niles) Munster.
Brant graduated from Nokomis Regional High in Newport, Class of 1997. He was active in all the school music programs, including the jazz ensemble that travelled to England. He had been employed as the general manager at Aubuchon Hardware in Newport and was currently a technician with the Somatex Company.
He is survived by his mother of Newport; a son, Sebastian Munster of Appleton and Newport; a brother, Brett and wife Anika Munster, and their son Beckett of Hudson; Sebastian's mother, Allison of Appleton, and her parents, Stan and Colleen Theriault of Palmyra; a number of other Munster relatives; and dear family friends, Mike Lemire and Kara Norris of St. Albans, and Betty Rich of Palmyra. He was predeceased by his father in 1979.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, August 29th at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 A.M., Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, Newport, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating.
