Bonnie's Story

CHERRYFIELD - Bonnie Jean (Look) Sproul of Cherryfield became cancer free on August 3, 2015, surrounded by her closest friends and relatives.

She was the eldest of five children, blessed with a beautiful singing voice that she shared frequently with others.

She continues to be cherished by her devoted husband of nearly 30 years Joe Sproul IV, loving daughters Maeve and Kristina, son-in-law Joe, grandchildren Jaden and Nicole, mother Jean, mother-in-law Phylis, siblings Sherry and Richard, Robert and Sandi, Jay and Pam, Danny, Billy and Lesa, several darling cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

She is predeceased by her father Stillman and father-in-law Joe Sproul III, both of whom she loved deeply and recalled often.

Bonnie enjoyed camping with her family at Montegail or Peaked Mountain, hosting and attending parties, acting in plays, participating in every school function, starring in skits with the 'Firecracker Ladies', decorating her beautiful home and laughing with friends and family whenever possible. She was known for her singing career, alter-ego and weekly newspaper column pen-name, Esther Trott, as well as her welcoming smile at the town office, comforting hugs, fierce love of life, and the warmth, kindness and strength she demonstrated every day. She was especially proud of her children and grandchildren, her musical accomplishments and varied work history and the many lives she had carefully packed into her 63 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at the Wreaths Across America Headquarters (formerly, the Columbia Falls Grammar School) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
