BUCKSPORT - Bonnie (Bonita) Jean Smith-Williams, 67, of Bucksport, passed away peacefully
on June 26, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones and close friends.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents: Arnold and Mary Smith and her beloved son, Dane Smith. She is survived by her
sons; Marc Smith and fiancée, Dottie Jack, Brent Smith, Jayson and wife,
Erin Smith, surrogate daughter, Jackie Rogan, grandchildren; Hailey Rea,
Zakkery, Justice, Cheyenne, Savannah, Chloe, and Dhane and 2 great-
grandchildren: Isiah and Kolby, as well as cherished cousins.
Bonnie dedicated her life to the service of others through her work as a CNA and Physical Therapist for over 15 years and 25 years as Vice President and Shelter
Director for H.O.M.E., Inc. She spent many years working along side her close friend, Sister Marie Ahern who passed away 2 years ago and together they cared for literally hundreds of homeless families.
Bonnie also loved homesteading, she raised livestock and had beautiful
organic gardens. Bonnie found happiness through helping others including animals as well as BBQ's with her family and friends, trips to the beach, and camping.
A Celebration of Life potluck dinner will be held at her home on July 12 from noon to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers
please send donations in Bonnie's memory to the Bangor Human Society.
