Blake's Story

WYTOPITLOCK - Blake Voisine, 65, beloved brother, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly April 3, 2015. He was born Sept. 4, 1949 to the late Donat and Alice (Mitchell) Voisine.

Blake worked in the woods most of his life. He always liked to joke and had a great sense of humor. He loved hunting and would do anything to help anyone and never asked for anything in return. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was special to all that knew him.

He is survived by five sisters, Muriel and Walt Richardson, Carol and Karl Zugelder, and Alice Voisine, all of Wytopitlock; Dawn Voisine of Mattawamkeag, and Sis and Art of Connecticut; and four brothers, Richard and Ellen Mitchell and Steve Voisine of Wytopitlock, Raymond and Shirley Voisine of Chester and Norman and Lucille Voisine of Lincoln; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He had a lot of friends, but a few of the real special ones were Rodney and Lisa Preston, Hazel Hanington, Donald Potter, and also Jeff and the late Violet Caron.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Voisine and Dale Voisine, a sister Carolyn Voisine, and a sister-in-law Tina Farwell (Voisine.) He was also predeceased by his best friend and beloved pet dog, Cody.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth, with a private time for family from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev Steve Waite officiating. There will be a gathering at the Reed Plantation Fire Department after the services.
