BIDDEFORD - Beulah Jean Root of Biddeford died April 8, 2015. She was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Concord, New Hampshire, the daughter of Clyde Moulton. She was the youngest of five sisters and two brothers.
Beulah married the love of her life, Alexander Edward Root Jr., and together they resided in New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, and Florida. After Al went home to be with the Lord, Beulah moved back to Maine. She last resided at the Southridge Nursing Home in Biddeford, and while there she added to the friends she already had.
She loved having relatives and friends stop by for a visit at any time. She loved to laugh, enjoyed life, and was a pro at table games. When fishing, she could cast a fly with the best of them, and most of the time came home with one or two trout. Beulah was a member of several churches, all being "Assembly of God". She was a strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and God's wonderful plan of salvation. Where ever she resided she wanted to be a witness for God and testify of His goodness.
Beulah leaves her son, Bob and his wife, Jeannie; two granddaughters, Tina and her husband, Alton (Blake) McQuade, Angela and her husband, William (BJ) Cyr Jr.; six great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Crystal, and Matthew McQuade, and Lee, Jeanna, and Wilson Cyr. Special appreciation and thanks is given to a niece and her husband, Charlotte and Donald Peters, for all the care and attention they have given to my mother over the years. Also all the team that attended to Beulah, from Life Choice-Hospice Care, and especially the staff of Southridge Nursing Facility where excellent care and concern was given to Beulah. Mom's greatest desire for anybody reading this is that you be blessed with a personal relationship with her Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Bath National Cemetery, Bath, New York, with the Rev. Robert Root officiating. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
