Beulah's Story

ETNA - Beulah E. Brewer, 82, died March 29, 2015 at her residence following a long illness. She was born May 27, 1932 in Plymouth, a daughter of Perry and Gladys (Henderson) Malcolm, Sr.

Beulah was employed at the Pineland Center in Pownal as a certified nurses aide, and worked for 23 years as a cook at The Breakers in Scarborough. She retired from Scarborough Terrace after 12 years of employment. She will be fondly remembered for traveling to family member's homes to cook for family and friends, and also help with the cleaning.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Perry Malcolm, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of West Bath, and Dwayne Malcolm of Etna. Beulah was predeceased by a sister, Arlene Reynolds, a brother, Floyd Malcolm, and a special friend, Kenneth Lawton.

A time of remembrance will be held at the Gold Crest Riders Snowmobile Club in Dixmont at noon Saturday, April 11th. Graveside committal services will be held at the Rogers Cemetery, Troy, later in the spring. The Rev. Tim Curtis will officiate. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
